Many Insta users are now resentful, leading to the rise of 'resentment reels'—videos and audio lamenting the need to create social media content. This comes as people are forced to engage in the online creator economy to grow their personal brand. Such reels often, overtly or subtly, express frustration while also, at times, directing the viewer to share the content to game the algorithm.
